In a groundbreaking move, Xiaomi, the renowned electronics giant, has officially rolled out its much-anticipated electric sedan, the Xiaomi SU7, in stores across China. The electric vehicle (EV) hit the market less than 24 hours after its grand unveiling on December 28, signaling a significant foray into the competitive world of electric vehicle manufacturing.

Xiaomi SU7 Specs and Features

• 495kW electric motor and 101kWh CATL Qilin battery.

• Offers 800km range.

• Mass production in the first half of 2024.

• Assembly in BAIC facility.

• Carriers expected shortly after.

Enthusiasts were quick to spot the sleek electric sedan at Xiaomi's flagship store in the heart of Xiaomi Science and Technology Park, Shangdi, Beijing. The company plans to showcase the SU7 in various Xiaomi flagship stores throughout China, creating a buzz ahead of its official market release.

However, some logistical challenges have emerged, with the first batch of SU7s set to serve as display cars due to spatial constraints in certain Mi Stores. Many of these stores, situated on the first floor of shopping complexes, pose challenges for displaying the vehicle adequately. Renovations are in the pipeline for selected stores to accommodate the SU7's presence.

Prospective buyers can expect a visually stunning array of color choices for the Xiaomi SU7, with three variants available – Aqua Blue, Verdant Green, and Mineral Gray. This color palette mirrors Xiaomi's existing product line, aligning the SU7 with the aesthetics of their smartphones, watches, and accessories.

An innovative development accompanies the SU7's debut – the integration of Xiaomi's proprietary HyperOS operating system. This revolutionary move will replace the existing architecture across all Xiaomi devices, ensuring seamless connectivity and a unified digital experience within the Xiaomi ecosystem.

As anticipation builds, pricing details for the Xiaomi SU7 remain undisclosed. However, early estimates suggest a potential price tag of up to 300,000 yuan ($42,306). The Xiaomi SU7's swift entry into the market showcases the brand's commitment to diversification and innovation, solidifying its presence in the rapidly evolving landscape of electric vehicles.
