I recently got my hands on the Tecno Spark 10 Pro, a budget-friendly smartphone that promises an impressive set of features without breaking the bank. Released on March 6, 2023, this Android 13-powered device boasts an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor, 8GB RAM, and a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display. 

In this detailed review, I'll share my firsthand experience with the phone, covering its performance, camera capabilities, battery life, and more.

Design and Build

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro has a sleek design with a weight of 208 grams. It feels comfortable in hand, and the fingerprint sensor on the side adds a convenient touch. The Starry Black and Pearl White color options give it a modern look.

Performance

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor and 8GB RAM, the Spark 10 Pro handles everyday tasks smoothly. I found it capable of multitasking and running various applications without noticeable lag.

The 6.8-inch FHD Dot-in-display with a 90Hz refresh rate provides a clear and sharp viewing experience. However, the screen's brightness might be a concern in bright sunlight, and there's a noticeable blue tinge in the default color temperature settings.

It's a decent display for casual usage but might not satisfy users seeking high brightness or color accuracy.

Battery Life

The 5000mAh battery is a standout feature, offering an impressive endurance rating of 131 hours with an 18-watt charging capacity. For daily use, I found the battery easily lasting a full day with over 6 hours of screen-on-time. Usage patterns may affect the actual battery life.

Camera Quality

The 50MP main rear camera and 32MP front camera deliver satisfactory results for the price. Portrait mode and low-light photography perform well, but the 2x zoom photos disappoint. The resolved detail in good light is acceptable, though not exceptional.

The single bottom-firing speaker provides average loudness but lacks depth and bass. To enhance the audio experience, using the 3.5mm headphone jack with quality headphones is recommended.

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro lacks water resistance, so caution is advised around liquids. On the positive side, the phone receives software updates, including security patches, ensuring the device stays up-to-date.
