Aamir Khan Embarks on a Cinematic Odyssey with ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ and ‘Lahore: 1947’ Shooting in February 2024

Mumbai, January 22, 2024 — Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan is all set to commence shooting for two ambitious projects, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ and ‘Lahore: 1947,’ in February 2024, promising fans a cinematic extravaganza.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan will kick off the shooting for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ on February 2. The actor, known for his unwavering dedication to his craft, has been deeply involved in the film's pre-production, meticulously crafting his role. 

Numerous reading sessions with the ensemble cast have taken place, highlighting Khan's commitment to delivering a compelling performance.

In ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ Aamir Khan will join forces with director RS Prasanna for a social dramedy that promises to captivate audiences. 

The talented Genelia D'Souza (Deshmukh) has been cast as the female lead, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film. Aamir is expected to allocate 70 to 80 working days for the project, showcasing his commitment to achieving excellence.

Simultaneously, Aamir Khan will embark on a maiden collaboration with Sunny Deol in the Rajkumar Santoshi-directed ‘Lahore: 1947.’ The film, set against the backdrop of the partition era, is scheduled to begin shooting on February 12, 2024. 

The production team has already initiated set construction in Mumbai, aiming to authentically recreate the historical period.

After a protracted separation, the dynamic director-actor team of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi come together in this film. While speculations circulate about Aamir making a guest appearance in "Lahore: 1947," an official confirmation is still pending, adding an air of mystery to the project.

Aamir Khan’s production house is poised for a significant moment, as multiple films are set to be on the floors simultaneously. 

Alongside the two ongoing projects, the banner has two films lined up for release in the first half of 2024 – the Kiran Rao-directed ‘Lapata Ladies’ and the Sanjay Mishra-starrer ‘Pritam Pyaare.’

With anticipation building up, Aamir Khan has already announced the Christmas 2024 release of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ ensuring that audiences have exciting cinematic treats to look forward to in the coming year.
