POCO X6 Pro Review: Friends, as we kick off the promising year of 2024, the smartphone game is already getting intense, and I've got my hands on something truly special – the POCO X6 Pro

Trust me when I say, this device packs a punch in the value-for-money department, and by the end of this review, you'll understand exactly why.

Let's start with the unboxing experience – a yellow-black box with a captivating yellow LED ring. The grey-colored case is a subtle yet stylish addition, complementing the overall design.

Inside, you'll find a 67W USB Type A to Type C charger and the necessary cables. The phone itself boasts a sleek and lightweight design, weighing in at 187.9g, offering a comfortable in-hand feel.

Now, onto the ports and buttons – a sim card tray, USB Type C port, microphone, speaker grill, and power button on the bottom.

The right side houses the volume rocker, IR blaster, noise-cancelling microphone, and another speaker grill. Notably, the phone features a 5000mAh battery but maintains a reasonable weight, making it convenient for daily use.

The standout feature of the POCO X6 Pro is undoubtedly its stunning 6.67'' 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.3mm bezels, and a 12-bit panel. The display supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and boasts a remarkable 94% screen-to-body ratio with 1800 nits brightness.

To put it simply, this display is a game-changer, especially considering its under-Rs-30K price tag.

Under the hood, the POCO X6 Pro houses the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra, scoring above 1.4 million on AnTuTu – a significant leap in performance compared to its predecessor.

With configurations of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage or the impressive 12-512GB variant, this device sets a new standard for the under-Rs-30K category.

Gaming on the POCO X6 Pro is a delight, thanks to its 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charging. During our tests, we experienced smooth gameplay in BGMI at HD Ultra settings, consistently achieving a 90FPS frame rate.

The device's thermal performance is noteworthy, thanks to its 5000mm² vapour cooling chamber.

The software side introduces HyperOS, based on Android 14, with a promise of three major updates and four years of security updates.

The in-display fingerprint sensor, now a heart rate sensor as well, adds a convenient and secure touch to unlocking the device.

Moving to the multimedia experience, the POCO X6 Pro excels with its Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers and a vibrant 12-bit display, making it an ideal choice for content consumption.

Connectivity options are abundant, supporting Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, IR Blaster, and NFC, along with comprehensive 5G band support.

The camera setup includes a 64MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 16MP selfie sensor. Video capabilities include 4K 30FPS at the back and Full HD 60FPS for the selfie camera. The device offers a variety of features, including Pro Mode, Document Scanning Mode, Portrait Mode, and more.

In conclusion, the POCO X6 Pro raises the bar for smartphones under Rs 30K, delivering exceptional performance, a mesmerizing display, and versatile camera capabilities.

If you're in the market for a device in the Rs 25-30K range, the POCO X6 Pro deserves a spot in your top three choices. POCO has truly elevated its value-for-money quotient, setting a new benchmark for competitors in this price range.
