CUET PG 2024: In a significant move, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has notified universities to swiftly register for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2024

The UGC, in a directive released on January 25, emphasized the importance of registration with the National Testing Agency (NTA) for seamless admissions to postgraduate courses in central universities.

Reiterating the NTA's pivotal role in conducting CUET PG as the designated entrance test for central university admissions, the UGC urged universities to expedite their registration process.

The commission clarified that the list of participating institutions, available on the NTA website, is dynamic and will be regularly updated to accommodate new registrations.

"If your university has not registered with NTA for enabling admissions to PG courses in the year 2024, you are encouraged to do so now," stated the UGC in its notification, underlining the urgency of compliance.

The NTA has set the deadline for CUET PG 2024 applications as January 31, prompting prospective candidates to complete their registration before the cutoff date.

The application process is conveniently available on the new website – pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.

"The list of participating institutions, as displayed on NTA’s website, is dynamic and will include the name of your university after registration with NTA," the UGC reiterated, emphasizing the real-time updates provided on the NTA platform.

To facilitate a smooth registration process and address any queries or concerns, the UGC has provided a dedicated help desk with the contact number 011-40759000.

Additionally, universities intending to participate in CUET PG can seek assistance by emailing at cuet-pg@nta.ac.in.

In an effort to enhance accessibility, CUET PG 2024 has expanded its reach by adding new test centers at Gurugram and Srinagar, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and accommodating a diverse pool of candidates.

As the clock ticks toward the application deadline, universities are urged to promptly register with NTA to ensure their inclusion in the dynamic list of participating institutions.

The CUET PG initiative, backed by the UGC and NTA, stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts to streamline the postgraduate admissions process and foster transparency in higher education.
