HanuMan Triumphs Over Guntur Kaaram: Box Office Clash and Philanthropy Mark 9-Day Run

In a surprising turn of events, Prasanth Varma's HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja, has emerged as the victor over Trivikram Srinivas’ Guntur Kaaram, featuring Mahesh Babu, as the box office battle unfolds. 

The competition has been fierce, with both films going neck-to-neck in their overall business during their initial nine days in theatres.

On January 12, both movies hit the silver screen, setting the stage for a showdown between HanuMan and Guntur Kaaram

The latest box office figures, shared by trade analyst Manobala on his X account, reveal that on the ninth day, HanuMan raked in an additional ₹16.14 crore compared to Guntur Kaaram.

Manobala posted on January 20, "Jan 20th WW Box Office. #Hanuman - ₹ 20.37 cr [Day 9]. #GunturKaaram - ₹ 4.23 cr [Day 9]." This unexpected surge on the ninth day places HanuMan in a favourable position, surpassing Guntur Kaaram in the overall box office collection.

Breaking down the numbers for Guntur Kaaram, Manobala reported, “GunturKaaram WW Box Office. Superstar #MaheshBabu's Guntur Kaaram is heading towards ₹200 cr club." 

The film's 9-day run showcases a steady performance with a total collection of ₹189.67 crore.

Meanwhile, HanuMan's 9-day run numbers indicate a robust performance, with the film crossing the ₹185 crore gross mark. The breakdown shared by Manobala states, “#Hanuman WW Box Office. Hanuman CROSSES ₹185 cr gross mark. Film is heading for the next BIG milestone.” The total collection for HanuMan stands at ₹185.15 crore.

Teja Sajja's HanuMan Donates Over ₹2.6 Crore to Ram Mandir

In a unique move, the team behind HanuMan announced that they have donated ₹2,66,41,055 to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. During the pre-release event, the makers had pledged to donate ₹5 for every ticket sold to the Ram Mandir.

The team has already contributed ₹14,85,810 from the premieres and will now add ₹2,66,41,055 from the total tickets sold, which amounts to 53,28,211.

HanuMan tells the tale of Hanumanthu (Teja), who acquires superpowers after discovering a totem in his village, while Guntur Kaaram revolves around Ramana (Mahesh), a man seeking answers about his mother's (Ramya Krishnan) abandonment.

As the box office competition continues, HanuMan's philanthropic gesture adds a unique dimension to its success story. The clash between these two films has undoubtedly captured the attention of cinema enthusiasts, providing ample entertainment both on and off the screen.
