The announcement, shared via the official Resident Evil YouTube channel, comes with a tantalizing trailer that provides a sneak peek into the enhanced gaming experience that awaits players.

Set to launch on February 9, Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition promises an immersive journey for players on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The comprehensive edition will not only include the critically acclaimed base game but also feature the much-loved Separate Ways DLC campaign.

In this additional storyline, players will assume the enigmatic role of Ada Wong, working in the shadows to assist the main protagonist, Leon S. Kennedy.

A notable inclusion in the Gold Edition is the 'Extra DLC Pack,' a treasure trove of cosmetic DLC and extra goodies that enhance the overall gaming experience.

Fans can expect an array of exciting additions that go beyond the standard fare, making this edition a must-have for both newcomers and seasoned Resident Evil enthusiasts.

While Capcom has not disclosed the pricing details for Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, industry observers speculate that it will likely align with the cost of the base game at its initial launch last year.

This presents an enticing opportunity for players who may have missed out on the original release to delve into the Resident Evil universe at a more affordable price point.

This announcement follows Capcom's successful formula, as they previously released a Gold Edition for Resident Evil Village in 2022.

Similar to its predecessor, Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition bundles the base game with additional content, echoing the success of the Winters' Expansion content that featured the Shadows of Rose DLC campaign, third-person mode, and the Additional Orders update for Mercenaries mode.

The unveiling of Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition raises intriguing questions about the future of the Resident Evil series. Capcom's pattern of releasing Gold Editions for their flagship titles hints at a trend that might continue with upcoming releases.

Speculation among fans revolves around potential remakes of Resident Evil 5 or Resident Evil: Code Veronica, or perhaps an announcement for the highly anticipated ninth mainline entry.

There is even chatter about a possible remake of Resident Evil Outbreak, positioning it as a smaller project between major releases.

As the countdown to February 9 begins, the Resident Evil community is buzzing with anticipation, eager to embark on a redefined journey through the haunting landscapes of Resident Evil 4 with the Gold Edition.

Capcom has once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering gripping narratives and immersive gameplay, ensuring that the survival horror legacy of Resident Evil continues to captivate audiences across all platforms.
