Arjun Modhwadia, the former state president of the Gujarat Congress, recently made headlines by resigning from the party. This decision has led to speculation about a possible rift within the Gujarat Congress.

In his resignation letter addressed to party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Modhwadia expressed his disappointment with the party's handling of certain events, particularly the decision to not attend the pran pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.

He mentioned feeling helpless in contributing to the people of his district Porbandar and the state of Gujarat, which ultimately led to his resignation.

One of the key reasons behind Modhwadia's decision to quit the Congress was his belief that the party failed to understand and respect the sentiments of the people.

Insulting of Lord Ram

He criticized the party for boycotting the Mahotsav in Ayodhya, stating that it was an insult to Lord Ram. Modhwadia also expressed his displeasure with Rahul Gandhi's actions in Assam, which he felt further distracted and humiliated the pious occasion. These events, according to Modhwadia, angered not only the party cadres but also the citizens of Bharat.

After being associated with the Congress for 40 years and dedicating his entire life to the party, Arjun Modhwadia made the difficult decision to resign from all positions within the party. He emphasized that Lord Ram holds a special place in the hearts of Hindus and boycotting the pran pratishtha ceremony was a grave mistake.

Modhwadia's resignation highlights the importance of understanding and respecting the sentiments of the people, especially when it comes to religious and cultural events. His decision to step down reflects his commitment to upholding the values and beliefs that are dear to him and the people he represents.
