Former Miss Tripura Rinky Chakma Passes Away After Brave Battle with Breast Cancer

Former Miss Tripura Rinky Chakma tragically Passes away after a courageous battle against breast cancer. In 2022, Rinky was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer called malignant phyllodes tumor. She underwent surgery to combat the illness, but unfortunately, the cancer spread to her lungs and eventually led to a brain tumor. 

Despite undergoing various treatments, including chemotherapy, Rinky's health continued to deteriorate. On February 22, 2024, she was admitted to Max Hospital Saket in critical condition and was placed on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit due to her worsening lung function. 

Just before her admission, Rinky's friend Priyanka Kumari, the runner-up of Femina Miss India 2017, reached out to the public for financial assistance to support Rinky's ongoing medical needs. Rinky herself took to social media, particularly Instagram, to share her journey and appeal for donations. 

Her passing on February 28, 2024, was met with deep sorrow and respect from the public, with many individuals, including her friends and fellow pageant contestants, expressing their admiration for her courage and resilience. 

Notable personalities such as Vartika Singh, Miss Grand International 2015 - 2nd Runner-up, and Pavan Rao, Mr India 2017 - 2nd Runner-up, also paid tribute to Rinky on their platforms. 

Throughout her battle with cancer, Rinky Chakma remained active on social media, using Instagram as a platform to candidly share her experiences and raise awareness about the disease. Her followers responded with overwhelming support and empathy, rallying to help her in her fight against cancer.
