Unfortunately, one of the most loved and admired actors in Telugu cinema history has passed away. On Saturday, November 11, 2023, veteran Telugu actor Chandra Mohan, who was well-known for his significant contributions to the entertainment industry, left from this life.

A Cinematic Star of Telugu Cinema

Born as Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao on May 23, 1945, in Pamidimukkala village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Mohan made his debut in the Telugu film industry through the film Rangula Ratnam in 1966. Over the years, he won the hearts of millions with his versatile acting skills, playing a variety of roles ranging from the lead actor to character artist, and even comedian.

Chandra Mohan’s career spanned over five decades, during which he acted in numerous films and left an indelible mark on Telugu cinema. He received critical acclaim for his performances in box office hits such as Rangula Ratnam (1966), Padaharella Vayasu (1978), and Siri Siri Muvva (1978). His performance in Padaharella Vayasu won him the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu).

Chandra Mohan was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad due to cardiac-related issues. He passed away on November 11, 2023, at around 9:45 AM. The Telugu film industry will have a difficult time filling the empty space left by his passing.
